FairCheck HR in your Pocket

Team members

A team account's page lists everyone who belongs to it and every invitation still waiting for an answer. Admins invite people, adjust their permissions and remove them from here. The Admin console entry in the navigation opens this same page.

Personal accounts have no members table — "Your personal account is private. Create a new account to share with your team."

Members

The table has four columns:

Column What it shows
User The member's name (or email if they have no name), with "(you)" beside your own row
Email Their sign-in address
Roles "Owner" for the account owner, and "Admin" for anyone with the admin role
— A 2FA chip when the member has two-factor authentication turned on

Admins also see an Edit button on each row.

The Owner is the person who created the account (or had it transferred to them — see Transfer ownership). The owner is always an admin and cannot be removed from the account.

Roles

There is one role: Admin. Everyone else is an ordinary member.

Members without the admin role can still work with payslips, employers and results. Admin is what unlocks the account-level actions:

  • opening Edit Account and changing the account's name, avatar, data retention, scanned-original retention and hours-escalation settings (Account settings)
  • generating or rotating the pseudonym key
  • deleting the account
  • inviting, editing and removing members, and managing invitations (this page)
  • connecting, syncing, reconfiguring and disconnecting payroll integrations, mapping their pay items, and rotating the webhook signing secret (Integrations)
  • importing employees from a connected provider (Employees)
  • everything to do with enterprise agreements, including reading them — an agreement sets the pay floor for the whole account and the document is commercially sensitive (Enterprise agreements)

A non-admin who tries one of these is sent back with "You must be an admin to do that." or "Only account admins are allowed to do that."

Invite a user

Click Invite A User below the members table to open Invite User — "Invite a user to join your account."

  • Name and Email are required.
  • Under Roles, tick Admin to invite them as an admin.

Click Send invitation. An email goes to the address with a link to accept, and the page confirms "Invitation was sent to ." An address can only have one open invitation per account.

When the invitee accepts (signing in or creating a login first if needed), they join with the roles set on the invitation, and the owner and the person who invited them are notified.

Pending invitations

Invitations that have not been answered appear in the members table with an Awaiting response badge, showing the invitee's name, email and the roles they will get. Admins see three buttons:

  • Resend Invite — sends the invitation email again.
  • Copy link — copies the acceptance link so you can pass it on yourself.
  • Edit — opens Edit Invitation ("Edit or cancel invitation."), where you can change the name, email and roles and click Update invitation, or cancel it with Delete Invite.

Edit permissions

Click Edit on a member's row to open Edit permissions for . Tick or untick Admin and save. The admin box is disabled for the account owner, who is always an admin.

Removing a member

The Delete button on the same page removes the member from the account after "Are you sure?". It is not shown for the owner; an attempt to remove the owner is refused with "You are not authorized to perform this action." Removing someone from an account does not delete their login — they keep any other accounts they belong to.
